Commission Meeting Schedules; Contacting ACHD
Dear Road Wizard: When are the ACHD Commission meetings? Is the public welcome to attend the meetings?
Anonymous
ACHD holds Commission meeting at 12 p.m. on the first three Wednesdays of every month. The fourth Wednesday is an evening meeting which begins at 6 p.m. All Commission meetings are also live streamed on ACHD's YouTube channel for those who cannot attend. Commission meetings are open to the public and a sign-up sheet is present at the entrance of the auditorium for those that wish to address the Commission. The agenda for the meetings can be found on ACHD's website and as a link on the YouTube channel.
Dear Road Wizard: What is the best way to contact ACHD?
Anonoymous
It depends a little on the situation. ACHD has numerous ways for the public to get a hold of them. The best method is the "Tell Us" form found at the bottom right of the ACHD website. This is a form that sends an email with your content and provides an opportunity to add pictures.
However, if you need an immediate reply, (like if you see that a stop sign has been knocked down, or something equally important), it's best to call ACHD on their mainline. That number is 208-387-6100. For emergencies after hours, you can call the Ada County Sheriff's non-emergency dispatch at 208-577-3000.
If you have a project-specific question, you can write to projects@achdidaho.org
The "ACHD Reporter" app allows you to send in pictures and comments and reference your location from your phone. Please do not use the Reporter app while driving!
ACHD also has active Facebook and Twitter accounts where messages are answered.
Our business hours are Monday- Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Keep in mind that ACHD is not an emergency or enforcement agency. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 9-1-1.
