ADA COUNTY- Thanks to the public's help, maintenance crews at the Ada County Highway District are keeping up with potholes this spring.
ACHD crews filled 230 potholes last week during ACHD's annual Pothole Days. During the week-long campaign, crews focus on finding and repairing potholes that have formed over the winter months, with the help of commuters who report potholes on ACHD-maintained roadways.
"We are appreciative of everyone who took the time to report a pothole along their route," said Jennifer Berenger, Deputy Director of Maintenance at ACHD. "With more than 5,300 lane-miles of roadway to maintain, we value the public's help in spotting potholes so crews can repair them and keep our roadways safe."
While Pothole Days lasts for one week, residents can report a pothole to ACHD at any time using the TellUs form on ACHD's website or by calling (208) 387-6100.
Reports should list the location of the pothole, including nearby cross streets or landmarks. Residents can also add a photo if it is safe to do so. ACHD aims to respond to reported potholes by the end of the next business day.
