ACHD Gears Up for Pothole Days

ADA COUNTY- Commuters can join the Ada County Highway District in its efforts to keep roads safe and prevent damage to vehicles by reporting potholes as they see them.

ACHD's annual Pothole Days begins Monday, April 3.

During the week-long campaign, ACHD crews focus on finding and repairing potholes that have formed over the winter months. Residents can help by reporting potholes they come across on ACHD-maintained roadways.

Commuters can easily report a pothole by filling out the TellUs Form on ACHD's website. The report should include the location of the pothole and reference nearby cross streets or landmarks. Commuters may also add a photo if it is safe to do so.

ACHD maintenance crews always aim to respond to reports of potholes within 24 hours of them being reported, weather dependent. On average, ACHD crews fill around 2,100 potholes each year.

Pothole Days runs through Friday, April 7. However, members of the public can report a pothole to ACHD any time through ACHD's TellUs form or by calling (208) 387-6100.
