Bicycle Advisory Committee Seeks New Member

ADA COUNTY- The Ada County Highway District is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in serving on the Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC). The District is seeking to fill one open seat with an engaged cyclist who resides in Ada County.

The BAC encompasses a broad cross section of cyclists, including individual riders and members of the organized cycling community. The BAC advises the District about new road designs, roadway maintenance needs specific to cyclists, and other cycling-related issues.

Prospective committee members must live in Ada County and are required to attend all BAC meetings. While all applications will be considered, preference will be given to a candidate who lives outside of Commission District 3 to maintain geographic diversity among the Committee.

Ada County residents interested in this volunteer opportunity can complete the application form on ACHD’s website. Applications must be received by COB on October 26, 2022.

The committee will then review applicants, vote to determine the best candidate, and submit their recommendation to the ACHD Commission.
