Public Invited to ACHD Commuteride's May in Motion Awards Luncheon

On Tuesday, June 28, ACHD Commuteride will recognize 54 organizations for their commitment to sustainable transportation during the annual May in Motion Awards Luncheon.

The event will be held at JUMP from 11:30 to 1 p.m. and community members are invited to attend. Tickets are available for $25 per person through June 17 at ACHD Commuteride's May in Motion website.

May in Motion (MiM) is an annual campaign for businesses to rally their employees and receive public recognition for their commitment to smarter commuting. ACHD Commuteride works with local businesses, public agencies, and non-profit organizations to encourage smart commute options through employer benefits, workplace amenities, and ongoing support for employees.

This year, members of the public are invited to attend the awards luncheon and see firsthand how the local business community supported commute options, the reduction of traffic congestion and air pollutants in the Treasure Valley, and provided opportunities for Treasure Valley employees to save time, money, and stress on their daily commutes.

Commuteride is thrilled to host Jason Roberts as the keynote speaker, who will discuss "How to Make Real Change in Your Community, Today." Jason Roberts is an urban designer, restaurateur and former US Congressional nominee from Dallas, Texas. He is also the founder of the Better Block Foundation, a nonprofit "that educates, equips, and empowers communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate built environments to promote the growth of healthy and vibrant neighborhoods."
