Downtown Boise Reconstruction Projects
Learn About Improvements Happening Near You

The Ada County Highway District will construct improvements to two downtown areas: State St. between 16th St. and 2nd St. and 9th St. between State St. and Bannock St. The District reminds residents there is still time to weigh in on these upcoming projects in Downtown Boise.

The Downtown State St. & 9th St. Reconstruction Projects will replace the aging roadway and increase safety and comfort for users. Additionally, green stormwater treatment facilities will be added.

Reconstruction is expected to begin in the summer of 2022 and is projected to last until early summer of 2023.

With current plans, users can look forward to updated pedestrian ramps, signal, curb, and intersection improvements. Residents can find more details about the Downtown State Street & 9th Street Reconstruction Projects on this website. After learning about the proposed plans, residents are invited to provide ACHD with feedback on the project by taking a brief survey.

While feedback is always welcome, the official comment period for the projects will come to a close on Monday, February 21st.

Residents can also sign up for project notifications and construction updates on the project webpage.
