Don't Forget: Campaign Signs Must Be Removed After Election Day

Ada County-- As part of ACHD's ordinance on temporary sign placement, political campaign signs in the public right-of-way must be removed within 48 hours of Election Day. For this election, that means signs should be removed by the end of the day on Thursday, November 4.

It is the responsibility of the campaign to collect signs after Election Day. If a sign is determined to be in a spot where it's not supposed to be, ACHD will remove it. The sign will be brought to the Ada County Highway District Headquarters in Garden City, where the owner can make arrangements to pick it up.

The full policy can be found on ACHD's website. If you have questions about sign placement, contact the Ada County Highway District at (208)387-6100 or submit written questions online through ACHD's Tell Us Form.
