ACHD Asks for Help to Keep Storm Drains Clear

In anticipation of more wet weather the rest of this weekend and throughout next week, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is asking that residents and neighborhoods do their part to help keep storm drains in their area free of debris.

Storm drains help funnel stormwater runoff into the water system, and leaves, grass, and other debris and clog storm drains, ultimately causing localized flooding.

ACHD is asking that everyone please check your storm drain to make sure it is cleared of debris. If it isn't, simply take a rake and remove the leaves, etc. away from the drain so that water can freely make its way to the drain. Do not remove the grate.
