ACHD Honored for Excellence in Construction Partnering

The Ada County Highway District is being honored by the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) and the Idaho Associated General Contractors (AGC) for excellence in construction partnering.

ACHD, along with ITD and Concrete Placing Company, received a Gold Award in the major construction category for the Cloverdale Emergency Bridge Project.

The Excellence in Construction Partnering Awards recognize outstanding partnering efforts that result in quality projects that benefit taxpayers.

Applicants were encouraged to submit projects built within the last three years for recognition. Winners were selected by a panel of judges based on innovative solutions, team building activities, conflict resolution, and achieving a common goal.

In June 2018, the Cloverdale Road overpass sustained extensive fire damage caused by a tragic crash on Interstate 84. As a result, ITD had to replace the structure. In coordination with this work, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) improved Cloverdale Road between Franklin Road and Camas Drive.
